Thomas Poole
I am a passionate and ambitious student with a strong desire to pursue a career in the film industry. My interest in film began in childhood, but it was only more recently that I realised it is a field I would genuinely enjoy working in. The growing presence of the film industry in my local area has further inspired me, with the development of the brand-new Shinfield Studios and the nearby Winnersh Studios, just five minutes from my home.
These studios have hosted major productions such as Argylle at Winnersh, The Acolyte at Shinfield, and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, which utilised both facilities.
I was fortunate to have the opportunity to interview the studio manager for Ghostbusters at Winnersh, where I gained valuable insights into how to ignite my career in the industry.
I enjoy using TikTok as an informal way to express my creativity. My highest achievement so far reached 68k views.

The Stone We Shared
Note: This is the final submission for my A-Level Photography, currently being graded. An earlier version of the script is available below.
The story follows Jake as he copes with the loss of his best friend, Callum, during a deeply moving funeral. Through a series of flashbacks to their childhood adventures, we see the bond they once shared. A symbolic stone connects the past to the present, offering Jake some comfort as he grieves. Years later, a visit to the same beach with his own son brings a sense of closure and reminds him of the enduring nature of their friendship.

This mockumentary was an idea I suggested for our group project based on the Duke of Edinburgh Award. I took on the responsibility of directing, filming, and editing the entire piece.

Work Experience
My work experience is outlined in detail within my personal statement, so I will avoid repeating it here. However, one particular highlight was the opportunity to act as a runner on the reveal video for Adrian Newey's RB17. As someone with a passion for cars, and Formula 1 in particular, this was an incredibly exciting experience. The final video was shared across Oracle Red Bull Racing's social media accounts, reaching over 20 million followers worldwide.
